Bringing the desert to the Pacific Northwest, Arizona natives Justin Marshall and Tanner Town blend an alternative-rock foundation with elements of western, reggae, and hip hop. The Desert Sons, based in Portland, Oregon, spread the messages and lessons of well-traveled lives, incorporating influences of increasingly niche genres into their general umbrella of Rock n’ Roll. TDS’s lyrically-driven composition mixed with an upbeat, energetic attitude makes for a production not soon forgotten. The two DreadKnot alumni bring a sense of professionalism and experience from playing alongside artists like Grieves and The Holdup into a brand new project. Defined by their genuine authenticity, TDS hopes to breathe new life into the PNW alt-rock scene with the release of their “Through Hell and back again…” EP as well as their official debut LP, “Drifter.”
